Dear 16 year old me,
The next 3 years of your life are going to be painful, both emotionally…and physically. Some days you won’t be able to get out of bed, you won’t be able to walk, talk, eat, smile or be yourself. You’ll cry, you’ll cut, you’ll burn, you’ll overdose and for the next 2 and a half years you won’t say a single word. But there are 3 things you need to know: keep your faith because it’ll guide you. Don’t listen to the doctors who tell you that it’s “all in your head”, because it’s not, it’s real. And above all; repeat the phrase “I’ll always be OK” and you will be.
Eventually you’ll have to get surgery, during your birthday week of May 2015. Repeat the phrase “I’ll always be OK” and you will be.
