Dear Survivor, I’m sorry this happened to you. You and only you know how you feel. Your fellow survivors, me among them, applaud your bravery for coming forward. You may not feel brave, but that’s how I see you. I did a lot of second-guessing of myself- “If Only” this or that. But truly, no one asks for it, and it’s not your fault. I am here for your “If Only” w/ this message of love. “If Only” this sort of support were available to me 41 years ago, I might have emerged from victim to survivor a lot sooner, but no matter because the important thing is: you survived. That’s a huge accomplishment that no one can take away from you. With love, tinged by sorrow that anyone has this experience, I am yours in solidarity. #SurvivorLoveLetter
